The ORGT Pictoral Archive

After ORGT was created in 1970, througho the 1970s, 80s & early 1990s, ORGT conducted amazing “Big Summer Adventures” (which were the precursors to the present-day Flanagan-financed “Expeditions”). These were a) multi-week, 150-mile backpacks through national parks and wilderness areas of the American West (recorded in the ORGT Archive as downloadable photo collections) and b) multi-week raft & kayak trips on America’s major whitewater rivers (especially the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon) — recorded in the ORGT Archive as movies. They are included in Miller’s website because he was the Trip Leader for these adventures.
In addition, the archive contains slide shows and movies of backing trips and whitewater trips in Georgia and neighboring eastern states.
It is important to note that one of the movies about a trip on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon (1975) features student David Flanagan in his C-1 decked canoe and his classic run through Hance rapid. This trip had such a powerful, positive effect on David’s life that in his later years as a successful Georgia Tech alum, he made an endowment to ORGT which now makes possible for all ORGTeers the same kind of life-enhancing adventures that David experienced.
